The American Hebrew Academy presents The Iron Box, a play by Karen Dresser based on Helen Epstein's collected and published narratives by children of Holocaust survivors in commemoration of Kristallnacht, The Night of Broken Glass, considered by many historians to be the beginning of Hitler's Final Solution.
Pauline Cobrda directs.
The uniqueness of this play is that is gives the audience a glimpse into a seldom-mentioned aspect of the Holocaust--what it was like to grow up with Holocaust-survivor parents. The play is suggested for school and youth groups, students 4th grade and up and all adults.
