Based on the traditional Holy Week ritual of the Stations of the Cross, this annual pilgrimage travels throughout the state to lift up issues of justice and peace. This 100-mile walk through Charlotte, Greensboro, Fayetteville, Goldsboro/Fremont, Durham, and Raleigh will focus overall on fair trade that respects workers in the Carolinas and in Latin America, comprehensive immigration reform, and worker safety for all.
The emphasis of the Pilgrimage in Greensboro this year will be on the call of world scriptures of all religious traditions to welcome and show hospitality to the immigrant and to call for comprehensive reform of our nation's immigration system. Everyone is invited to join us for the entire process through Greensboro, or at any of the stops along the way.
